When they out-grew their 20,000 sq ft building in Kentwood, Mobile Defenders worked with Veneklasen Construction to build a 95,000 sq ft pre-engineered metal building they could grow into. The new $7.5 million facility houses business offices and warehouse/assembly operations for Mobile Defenders and their fast-growing eduPARTS brand. Mobile Defenders manufactures aftermarket cell phone products and eduPARTS serves K-12 schools with computer repair parts.

The pre-engineered metal building was designed to allow immediate transition of all business operations to the new facility, with about 50% excess space to be leased in the short-term and to serve the expanding needs of eduParts in the longer term.

This project was honored with a 2023 Varco Pruden Hall of Fame Award in the Office Building category.
