Project Details
The office of this building is constructed of pre-cast concrete while the distribution area and maintenance shop are pre-engineered steel buildings. The facility, located in Pontiac, MI, was a 50-acre development. Prior to the full project, required a rapid deployment of all trades. The project itself was expedited per FedEx’s requirements which required multi-crewed trade partners and had special attention to winter conditions including customized shelters to pour concrete walls. The new center increases efficiency with 98 dock doors allowing for improved traffic flow. The outcome of these processes equaled one of the few FedEx projects finished on time that year.
