This project is a 3,500 sq. ft. urgent care facility that includes a procedure room, x-ray room, testing facilities as well as 8 exam rooms. The building is a wood-framed structure with cedar siding and stacked stone details on the exterior.
There was a 60 working day schedule with high liquidated damages. This made getting long lead time items on site challenging especially with the schedule including the busy holiday schedule. Lead times on wood doors, lead lined doors, all millwork and the quartz counters were the most difficult to maintain. We were able to get temporary wood doors for a few of the exam rooms and an 18ga hollow metal door for the x-ray room so we could pass inspections and get the facility operating before year end. We were able to get the wood doors in about a week after turn over and the lead lined door a few weeks later. Being flexible, adhering to lead times, tracking order and delivery dates, and being savvy with alternates, allowed us to finish one day early and keep the owners very happy!
